This hotel is not 4 Stars standard, I stayed in 3 Stars which was better than this. To start off the room is very small, the bed is so hard, they offer 1 skinny pillow, and there are a lot of bugs in the room. The toilet is old old-fashioned, low water pressure in the shower which has mould on the floor, there is a terrible smell coming back from the pipes, and the hairdryer is absolutely waste, never seen anything like it. The hotel doesn’t offer ironing for “safety reason”, but offer an ironing service, as if we will pay for 20kg of luggage to be ironed.
The only thing that saves this hotel is the staff, they are very friendly, kind and always so helpful, except a manager during the breakfast that kept giving out to the waitress’ team. The housekeeping was also very good.
To finish off, the swimming pool is so so so salty, that I tried to swimming for 10 min and my eyes and mouth were badly affected.
The beach on front is ok, but not the best either.
I had spent 9 nights here with my family of 4. We are all extremely delighted with our stay here. The service is also excellent, all the staff are very helpful and friendly, in particular Andrea. The pool area along with the sea view is breath taking. Would really recommend this hotel. - Family Eros
Our overall experience was great
The service was good, and the rooms clean even if they were a bit small, but it seems to be the case in all Sardinia.
Good if you are looking for a calm retreat
There is an indoor small gym as well an outdoor workout space in the woods.
The downside is the beach, quite rocky and you can t really swim 50m straight.
The most incredible stay of my life, so relaxing I felt like whispering at the beach. There is nothing else you would want from an adults only resort. Check in process 10/10, food and drink 20/10 and staff 100/10. A short trip from the airport and convenient bus outside resort for trip into Alghero. Am so sad to be home and want to go back right now!!
The Corte Rosada is set in a stunning location and shaded by umbrella pine trees which create a wonderful scent.
It has fantastic views of the bay with direct access to its own private beach. There are two tennis courts (the hotel lends you racquets and balls at no charge) and a huge salt water swimming pool. The staff are truly charming and attentive and made us feel very welcome. Our room was a little on the small side but had great views of the sea. Mattresses are hard which may suit some people. Take insect repellant as there are loads of mosquitos and a particularly nasty species of wasp. I'd recommend taking a mosquito net for the room.
Easy to get to other places - good roads and motorways - and several natural beaches and coves nearby.
All in all, a lovely place that I would highly recommend.
Solid rooms, solid-ish beach, pools… I liked because the sun beds were never completely full. I loved the service (dinner) - was amazing. Breakfast was also pretty nice. Very friendly staff overall
We have only been here for 2 days of 7 and I have to say it is excellent. The location, staff, food and facilities are all great. For anyone interested an easy 10 min walk from the hotel is a great local taverna Il Galeone (turn right out the hotel then take 3rd left and it's 100m on your right) and if you turn right out the hotel and walk for 10 mins on the main road (round the bend on the right) is a super little waterside bar/cafe and pizzeria called Bell Agio.
The main hotel building is great, with open, clean areas and an amazing view from the restaurant/breakfast room and bar through the window/sliding-door walls.
The lawn and pool area around the main building are equally clean and attractive, and with that amazing view. There are loads of well-spaced sunbeds and brollies around the pool, lawns and small beach. There are 3 rows of beds on the beach. (Apparently you have to pay for the front row, which is a bit cheeky tbh, but this appears to be the norm in Italy 🙄)
Ok, we had a "bit of an issue" on the first morning when we found out that the garden maintenance was every Friday, starting at 7am!!! The petrol driven strimmers/mowers were used until about 8:30 After a few a few social media (plus WhatsApp/Messenger) posts and an email requesting a complaint to be raised, we (very quickly) got an apology, a free meal and bottle of wine, which we really appreciated and of course we thanked the manager and staff etc. as it was great customer service.
(However, I can only hope for future guests sakes that they actually rearrange the time for, say, late afternoon?)
I have to say that the evening meal we had at the hotel was absolutely lovely! I would say it was definitely worthy of a 4* rating. All of the 4 courses were pretty much perfect.
Minor/constructive criticisms start with the ground floor "sea-view" rooms are not really sea-view. You would really need to get a assurance from the hotel, prior to booking, that you would get a first floor room, otherwise it's not worth the extra money.
I would also imagine the shower cubicle is a bit small for our "chunkier" brethren. There are no usb sockets near the bed or elsewhere in the room. There is one usable power socket (also used for the kettle); and only one other in the room, near the floor, near the door. Luckily we had a 3 way power adaptor and two powerbanks for charging the phones etc.
Otherwise the room was really light and clean, if a little bare in terms of decoration. The TV was a 40in Samsung and even had BBC World News which for Italy is rare, from our past experience! The bathroom was on the small side but clean and well appointed (shower excepted).
Overall this is a really nice hotel, with fantastic staff and customer service, and is realistically currently somewhere between 3* & 4*. For me, those few room improvements are needed, plus maybe a bit more choice at the buffet breakfast, to get the full 4* rating.
